Sx of anastamotic breakdown

unexplained tachycardia
hiccups
restlesnes
pelvic pressure
fever/abd/back pain

get GI series, better than CT (no wt limit, faster) 

Severe gastric distension:
check plain film

sx hiccups, LUQ bloating, n/v
 
NO blind NG tubes, do endoscopically (might rip sutures)

Stomal Stenosis

Band Migration
(#1 complication: gets larger gastric pouch, not an emergency)

can erode into stomach: 1% incidence, but often no peritonitis due to
scarring around band: LUQ pain, chest pain, vomiting
