 - to avoid missing pemphigus vulgaris, which is very treatable

þ Epidemiology and Etiology of TEN
 - an allergic reaction to medication

þ Rash of TEN
 - lacks diffuse erythroderma

þ Treatment of TEN
 - Steroids are of unproven value in TEN and remain controversial,
   but are generally used.

 - Sulfonamide drugs often cause TEN, and silver sulfadiazine delays
   epithelialization.  Therefore, this cream should be avoided in patients
