þ If abd pain or complaints within a week, consult surg right away: 
? anastomic leak.
Gastric outlet obstruction: CT with small amount (300 mL) of oral 
contrast and wait for 3 hours
NG tube: not in ED acutely in first 6 months after surgery
Band migration: may erode into stomach, get peritoneal signs
Stomal stenosis: later: early satiety, unable to eat, pica 
PE in 2% within 6 months: go directly to CT? Very similar to 
anastomotic leak, and 20% with classic PE sx had anastomic leak: 
do initial assessment, call surgeon, but "have to PE scan, do you 
want me to scan through the belly"
dumping syndrome: nausea, vasomotor sx, flushing - after eating; 
ocreotide effective.
Wernicke's encephalopathy - important that they keep taking 
thiamine.
