Pelvic Inflammatory Disease (PID)

þ Treatment
 - for PCN-allergic, outpatient
  + azithromycin 500 IV x i, then 250 PO daily for another 6 days
  + Flagyl 500 BID for 14 days

þ PID in Pregnancy
 - rare after 12 weeks, likely due to mucus plugging
