þ Treatment of seborrhea/dandruff
 - "A double-blind, placebo controlled four-wek trial in 246 patients with
   moderate to severe dandruff compared twice-weekly treatment with
   ketoconazole 2% shampoo [Rx-only Nizoral, 4 oz/$15.92], selenium sulfide
   2.5% shampoo [Rx only, Selsun, 4 oz/11.99] and, as a placebo, the
   ketoconazole shampoo vehicle.  The two drugs were about equally effective,
   and both more effective than placebo (FW Danby et al, J Am Acad Dermatol,
   29:1008, 1993). ...  Ketoconazole 2% shampoo appears to be a safe and
   effective but relatively expensive treatment for dandruff."
