Not related to sex, ability to pay.

Short-term oral antibiotic compliance:  increasing by only one more time a day
to take the pill increases noncompliance by 72%; more complex instructions (with
meals, empty stomach, etc.) also decreased compliance.  {Sockburn et al.  Br Med
