þ 6,000 patients; between 6 and 24 hours after start of symptoms, randomized
  to receive tPA or placebo.  Also received aspirin, and many received IV
  heparin.

þ reduced mortality in those 6-12 hours after symptoms, but didn't achieve
  statistical significance for 12-24 hours.
